David R. Roylance, Principal

David has more than 30 years in the energy industry with a proven track record of delivering innovative solutions for competitive electricity and natural gas consumers across the North American and European restructured markets. Most recently, David co-founded Prism Energy Solutions, an energy consultancy for commercial natural gas and electricity consumers.  Prior to forming his own company, David was Senior Vice President for Reliant Energy, where since 2001 he led the commercial and industrial sales and marketing division before joining SaveOnEnergy in 2009.  While in his position at Reliant, he drove the profitable expansion of the company’s retail business, establishing Reliant as the second largest competitive retailer for businesses in the United States.  Mr. Roylance also served in several other capacities with Reliant, including Director of Natural Gas Trading and Marketing in the western United States.  Mr. Roylance also helped establish Reliant’s European sales and marketing presence during the opening of the competitive European markets. Prior to joining Reliant in 1998, David rose through positions of increasing responsibility at Conoco Philips’ domestic and international units, starting as an analyst and, ultimately served as a Director of Natural Gas Trading and Marketing.   David is also very involved in working to establish consumer friendly rules and business practices for Aggregators, Consultants and Brokers.  He is currently Chairman of the Standards and Compliance Committee for The Texas Energy Professionals Association, and Chairman of the Board for a non-profit focused on issues negatively affecting Children.   David holds a BBA from University of North Texas..

Kelly Vannucci, Principal

Kelly is co-Founder and Principal of Prism Energy Solutions. She has over ten years of competitive energy industry experience working with commercial and industrial clients.  From 2001-2009, Kelly served as a Senior Sales Consultant for Reliant Energy. She has worked with customers across various industries segments, aiding in the procurement process for electricity and natural gas. She is knowledgeable across all products and provides outstanding customer service on behalf of her clients. While at Reliant, Kelly consistently exceeded performance goals for her commercial ability and customer service for existing and new customers. Prior to her work at Reliant, Kelly served as a senior sales representative for an organization that leased and sold modular office buildings to large industrial facilities throughout the southeast portion of the U.S.  Kelly worked directly with top level customer personnel from the beginning of the sales process to the completion of the project. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M University.

Mark Michna, Senior Energy Advisor

Mark Michna has more than 34 years of experience in collaborating with end users in regulated and competitive electricity and natural gas markets. He uses his broad and extensive experience to bring knowledge and insight to end users seeking objective based strategy procurement and energy optimization. Prior to joining Prism Energy Solutions he worked for Houston Lighting & Power (HL&P), Reliant Energy, and Cavallo Energy Texas.

Mark has working knowledge of every aspect of a business energy expenditure. Mark held various account management and supervisory positions at HL&P, gaining knowledge in electrical data analysis, rate and tariff optimization, bill auditing, metering solutions, and electrical distribution systems and operations. He joined Reliant Energy in 2000, at the advent of the competitive market design in Texas. He has worked with customers across various industry segments to develop actionable procurement strategies for electricity and natural gas.

In 2009, Mark joined Cavallo Energy Texas, a specialty wholesale energy and retail services company representing the Texas General Land Office Texas State Power Program. He worked with over 1000 public retailer consumers assisting in energy procurement, implementing voluntary economic demand response incentives, and bringing new generation sources onto the grid. In addition, he managed a 140 member School District aggregation, partnered with third parties to sell demand side management services and worked with several customer brokers/consultant’s.

Mark now brings his regulated utility, retail energy provider, and channel market experience together to create value for industrial, commercial and governmental consumers. He collaborates with end users to create tailored “Performance Plans” that facilitate strategic buying decisions and efficient interface with suppliers. His skills help businesses develop and maintain a competitive edge and procurement leverage, while building productive supplier relationships.

He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in General Business from Texas Tech University.
